XL Plus System
The Basics
When you open the box, you will find the system, a keyboard and mouse, and a box with keys and the power cord.
Looking at the back of the system, you will see:
Switches
Switches are how the cameras will get their power. POE (Power Over Ethernet).
Depending on how many cameras and switches you will have, each switch will be daisy chained to each other in the uplink or downlink ports (Not in the camera ports).
Adding Cameras
Before you can get any camera’s live view or recording, you need to add it to the connection list of the Device Management. Camera password should be Watch123.
IPC Search
Click on icon in toolbar panel.
Click on button to bring up “Devices List” interface.Users can add cameras in batches here.
The System will display all the IP cameras that are found and can be connected.You can also sequence the searched IPC by clicking the head of any column.
Press Update Device List button to refresh device list when there is a new connecting IPC that can’t be found.
Press Clear Device List to clear IP cameras from the list.
Press Hide added device to filter added cameras.
Modify IP camera
Press button to modify IP camera information, the interface is the same with Add IP Camera.

Setting up Groups
You can set as many as 16 groups for each TV monitor. Select a group from the drop down list to set it, you can define its name and partitions, the changed name will be active after saving configurations. There are 1/4/9 and 16 partitions modes.
--It includes “MainStream” and “Sub Stream”. After you select one default stream type, each camera you dragged to the sub-window would be displayed as the selected stream.
Note:
You can manually change the stream type of each camera by modifying the stream type in each sub-window.This setting will overwrite the “Default Stream Type”.
-- You can select any monitor to configure the camera displaying sequence or switch viewing interval. If there is only one monitor, this option would be not selectable.
--Select a group to set up, support maximum 16 groups.
-- Define group's name and partitions.
--Check this checkbox and save it for the system to show next time the system boots up.
--You can drag multiple cameras into one sub-window for switch viewing, and the switch interval options are disable/5/10/15 and 20 seconds etc.
Playback and Backup
There are two ways to enter the Playback interface: ①Choose Playback in the Main Menu;② press the icon on the Toolbar Panel.The default split view is four window views.
The first step is to choose a date in the calendar panel.Blue-colored dates means there is recording data,gray-colored dates means there is no recording data,and yellow-colored dates means currently selected data.Please follow the screen to operate,see pictures below.
Tips:
When the mouse moves close to,or stops at an icon,a short description tip about the button’s meaning will show up immediately.
Right click the picture to switch full screen viewing mode.Double click one image to switch between one split and multiple split.
Backup
-- Press this button to enter the Backup interface. You can also press the icon in the Main Menu to enter the Backup interface.
Before you enter the Backup interface,please make sure you have plugged in the USB stick with enough free space.
Phone APP
The app is “NVSS Client”. For an IPhone it can be downloaded from the Apple Store. For an android, please contact the Technical Support at 847-440-5055 and supply the email address for the person who will be looking at the cameras on their phone.
Open the app.
Tap the Main Menu button (three dashes) in the upper left corner.
Tap Server Management.
Tap the Plus sign (+) in the top right corner.
Input the following info:
a) Device Name: (Name it whatever you like)
b) Register Mode: IP/Domain
c) IP Address: ***
d) Port: 5100
e) Username: admin
f) Password: (Input system password)
When done, tap the Save button (floppy disk) in the top right.
Tap the Menu button in the top left again.
Tap Live Stream.
Tap the Plus sign (+) in the top right, your new server should be listed.
Tap the Checkbox to the right of the server name in the play list.
Tap the Play button (triangle) in the top right, the cameras should start playing.
*** Remote access can normally utilize two IP Addresses, a local (LAN) address that you can use to view while you are connected to the store Wi-Fi, and a public (WAN) address that you can use to view cameras from outside of the store. These can be setup as two separate server connections in the phone app. You can find the appropriate IP addresses using the following info:
LAN Address:
Click the Hammer and Screwdriver icon in the bottom left of the main viewing screen.
Click Network Settings.
Network Adapter 1 IP is listed here.
WAN Address:
Minimize the software and hold down ALT and press F1, this will open a menu in the top left of the screen.
Browse to the Internet, then open Firefox.
Open the webpage www.canyouseeme.org, this will list your public IP Address.
You will also need to open port 5100 on TCP/UDP Protocols to view remotely, please contact us or your IT / POS Technician to complete this.
You can check to make sure the port is open via the www.canyouseeme.org website, there is a built-in port checker. Type port 5100 and click check. If it returns “Success!” then the port is opened and ready for remote viewing.
